Q-GUARD 615 - WATER BASE CORROSION INHIBITOR Q-GUARD 615 is a special combination of inorganic corrosion inhibitors and buffers specifically formulated for applications where treated materials are stored prior to painting. The inhibitor combination provides three to seven months indoor corrosion inhibition depending on storage conditions and concentrations used. Q-GUARD 615 is designed for in-process rust protection prior to painting, plating, coating, etc. and is not meant to be used for final shipment of parts. Q-GUARD 615 can be used on cast iron, steel, brass, copper, and aluminum metallurgies. Treated parts require no further preparation prior to painting. Q-GUARD 615 is well suited for use in leak testing apparatus. The product has also been used to replace chromate sealers where recommended after phosphatizing. Chemical Feeding and Control: Q-GUARD 615 is designed to be diluted with water. The recommended operating concentration is 3-10% depending on the metallurgies involved and the length of storage required. Product concentration control is determined using a nitrite test kit. Lamotte Nitrite test kit 7183 is recommended. Q-GUARD 630 is a synthetic water based rust preventive. The product is designed for use on ferrous metals and leaves an imperceptible film. Q-GUARD 630 is designed as an in-process corrosion preventative for indoor storage protection. Recommended Dilutions: Q-GUARD 630 can be applied to ferrous metals by spray or dip applications. The product can be used in the last stage of a spray washer or in stand alone dip tanks. The product mixes easily with water. The recommended operating concentration is 2-10% depending on the length of protection needed. The product is designed to give 10 months indoor storage protection if used at 10%. Q-GUARD 630 can be heated to facilitate drying. Q-GUARD 630 - WATER BASE RUST PREVENTATIVE CORROSION & RUST PREVENTATIVES Q-KOAT 650 is a barium free oil-dispersed, water displacing, fingerprint suppression corrosion preventative formulated for long term indoor storage protection. This product deposits a thin, slightly oily residual film that is easily removed using an alkaline cleaner or solvent cleaner. Recommended Applications: Q-KOAT 650 is designed to be used straight. To achieve maximum corrosion protection and water displacement, parts should be dipped into Q-KOAT 650. Effective results can be also achieved by spraying if the equipment can provide a sufficient and uniform coating of Q-KOAT 650. Q-KOAT 675 is an oil/solvent blend rust preventative that is designed to protect ferrous metals in aggressive salt spray environments. Q-KOAT 675 leaves a light oily film. It displaces freestanding water, emulsions, and alkaline cleaners with a protective film that provides 24-36 months indoor storage protection. It is specially formulated to be suitable for marine environments and where ocean transportation will be encountered. Can be applied for protection of equipment during transportation on flat bed trucks especially during winter months when salt is typically found on roadway surfaces. This product is not designed for use in dip tank applications, as water contamination may result in gelling. Recommended Applications: Q-KOAT 675 is designed to be applied straight.
